Pristine natural surroundings make Woodhaven Edgemont a sought-after community

Edmonton teachers Tenesha and Shevaar Smith are building a house in Woodhaven Edgemont, a new development just four minutes from their current home in Uplands. But as far as they’re concerned, the secluded community might as well be worlds away.

“The natural surroundings, with the ravine and all the trails, are so amazing. With our new house, we’ll have no one behind us and lots of privacy in a bigger home,” says Tenesha.

Woodhaven Pointe: Contemporary living that connects with nature

For those looking to build a new home backing onto green space — with nothing to obstruct the backyard view except for trees, birds and perhaps the occasional moose — Woodhaven Pointe in southwest Edmonton is the first place to consider.

Woodhaven Pointe by Rohit Land Development, an intimate cul-de-sac within the Woodhaven Edgemont community, is a land peninsula surrounded on three sides by the Wedgewood Ravine.

Woodhaven Edgemont is Edmonton's top new community

Once, apparently, was not enough.

For the second year in a row, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association-Edmonton Region Awards of Excellence has named Woodhaven Edgemont as Edmonton’s Best New Community.

This west Edmonton subdivision from the Rohit Group of Companies — launched with a jam-packed grand opening in September 2019 — is surrounded on three sides by multi-use trails along Wedgewood Creek, with no home more than 100 metres from either a natural ravine, stormwater pond or amenity area.
